Senior Project Manager
Wendi brings more than 35 years of experience to public health promotion, program evaluation, administrative management, secondary education and clinical care to her professional assignments. Her specialties include risk prevention and community-based approaches to positive population health outcomes.
Her experience spans rural and urban communities. In Alaska, she led program development, implementation, and evaluation across numerous program areas for Southcentral Foundation and Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation. Earlier in her career, Wendi provided high school classroom instruction in rural Montana and Idaho and clinical care as a licensed nurse.
Wendi has served as the national co-chair for the American Evaluation Association’s Internal Evaluation Topical Interest Group. She has also advised on policy and community-based program initiatives in England, South Africa, Guyana and throughout the United States within both the corporate and public sectors.
She holds a Master of Public Health in Global Health from Loma Linda University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Walla Walla College. In 2006, Wendi received the Willard and Irene Humpal Award for academic excellence and community service from Loma Linda School of Public Health. The award recognizes those individuals who have a passion to learn and conduct meaningful research at the graduate level.
Exploring remote places, international travel and roaming the world through the writings of others are among Wendi’s favorite past times. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the World Health Dental Organization which supports the delivery of world-class dental care at the Maasai Dental Clinic in Kenya, East Africa.
