Sylvia joined McKinley Research Group in 2018, specializing in public health and health promotion. Sylvia brings experience working in the non-profit sector of Alaska’s health and social services landscape to McKinley Research Group. Prior to joining the firm, Sylvia worked for the Alaska Injury Prevention Center as a Projects Director where she was involved with the design, implementation, and evaluation of local and statewide injury prevention efforts. Sylvia is a member of the American Evaluation Association, Alaska Evaluation Network, and the Alaska Public Health Association.
Sylvia holds a Master of Public Health from San Diego State University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Furman University. Sylvia has lived in Alaska most of her life with family ties to Ketchikan, Cordova, Valdez, Fairbanks, and the Copper River Valley.
