Joining the firm in 2020, Royal works on a variety of projects relating to education, the visitor industry, and economics. Prior to joining McKinley Research, he earned his J.D from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington and passed the Uniform Bar Exam in Washington State. He also holds a B.A in history and political science from Gonzaga University.
Royal grew up in Haines, Alaska working in his family’s visitor industry businesses. His past positions include administrative assistant for a guiding company, and business manager of a seasonal restaurant and retail store. While attending college, Royal interned for the U.S Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, where he performed in depth research on various labor policy issues.
