Kyle comes to McKinley Research from the Bristol Bay Region of Alaska where both he and his family are from. He has a diverse professional background including experience in the fields of education, fisheries, non-profit program management and development, and social services.
As active participants in the Bristol Bay sockeye salmon fishery, Kyle and his family fish their set-net site outside of Dillingham each summer. Kyle earned his B.S. in microbiology at the University of Arizona and is currently working toward a master’s degree in applied leadership and management at Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Preferring to stay active, Kyle’s life outside of work has included subsistence hunting and fishing, building and construction, outdoor and hydroponic gardening, food harvesting and preservation, dog mushing, bird dog training, wine making, brewing, and kickboxing.
