Garrett joined McDowell Group in 2013 as a research analyst. He has been involved in a broad range of McDowell Group projects, including fisheries, energy, transportation, and housing economic analyses. A lifelong Alaskan from Kodiak, Garrett has lived and worked all over the state. He has been active in salmon, crab, cod, and halibut commercial fishing from the Bering Sea to Prince of Wales Island.
Garrett recently completed a Master of Science in Resource and Applied Economics at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. His thesis addressed patterns of philanthropy in Alaska. His personal interests include ski-mountaineering, sportfishing, and hiking.
